Make sure to do the laces up securely, otherwise they could come undone and you could lose your balance skating over them.
Make sure your skates fit well. If you wear the wrong size you'll have trouble keeping your balance.
If you're at a roller rink, use the bars lining the sides of the rink for support if you need to.
Try to get a good time and day of the week to make it to the rink. Practicing at least once a week will help you improve.
Try to stay near the wall so you have some guidance and support.
Check the wheels of the skates often, beware of threads, cloths, oil, rope, pipes or other hard or slippery materials on the floor.knowledge is necessary about rollers.
If you have long hair, make sure you tie it back so it's out of your eyes.
Be careful and don't give in to peer pressure. Tell yourself that you can do it!
Take it slow at first. Remember, slow and steady wins the race!
Don't go faster than you own personal speed. If you go to fast you could fall, hurt yourself, and possibly even break a bone.
